Biography
“Shawnee is the place I love to call home. I have worked to build up our community. I understand the challenges of businesses in rural communities, the pressures facing Oklahoma families, and the factors that undermine public safety. As your state representative, I will work to keep taxes low, eliminate needless regulation, and devote tax dollars to the areas where they can have a genuine, positive impact such as roads and schools. My goal is to increase opportunity and enhance the quality of life for all.
As a native Oklahoman, my family and I own and operate a small restaurant in the heart of House District 26. We have owned Coney Island of Shawnee for several years providing food and memories to many families of Shawnee. I have worked tirelessly as a community servant who represents our Oklahoma values and will work hard for all of us at the State Capitol. I have focused on more than building my own business. I also worked to build up the local economy as a member of the Shawnee Historic Alliance, the Downtown Merchant Group, and Shawnee’s Planning Commission. I am also a member of the Emergency Operations Center, working to keep our neighbors safe. I am president of Safe Events for Families (SEFF), which provides festivals and entertainment for our community, including Redbud City Night on the Bricks in April, Shawnee Trail Days in June, Boo on Bell in October, the Christmas Parade in December, and monthly block party downtown.
I am a lifelong registered Republican. My wife Linda and I have two daughters, Kensington and Kerrigan. We are active members of Life.Church Shawnee.”
