Phyllis is from Yukon, Oklahoma and a rising 2nd year at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. She has spent most of her life doing political work specializing in communications and public relations. She was the Carl Alberts Fellow where she worked at the Oklahoma State Capitol under Leader Emily Virgin and other democratic leaders. From there, she worked as the Head Volunteer Coordinator for the Rosecrants, Deck, & Menz State House campaigns. Phyllis was also the Oklahoma Regional IGNITE National Fellow, where she recruited and trained more young women to run for office. She was the original Robert Frost Fellow where she worked in the communications department for the Oklahoma Democratic Party. Phyllis plans to practice different kinds of law to see what suits her best.
