In addition to our headline speaker, this year’s banquet includes Palestinian-American comedian, Mohammed “Mo” Amer of group Allah Made Me Funny. The speakers will focus on this year’s theme, “Faith in Freedom,” in light of the rise of Islamophobia in our state.

“This year’s banquet is a celebration of the freedoms that we as Oklahoma Muslims cherish, particularly after a favorable ruling in the Oklahoma anti-shariah amendment case in 2013,” said CAIR-OK Executive Director Adam Soltani. “We have faith that our freedoms as American citizens will continue to be safeguarded by the U.S. Constitution and by our work as a civil rights organization.”

CAIR-OK is a chapter of America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
