​(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, 4/14/14) — The Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OK) said today that Oklahoma Muslims stand in solidarity with the Jewish community after a Missouri man opened fire at a Jewish community center and an assisted living facility yesterday in Overland Park, Kan.

“Oklahoma Muslims join countless others from around the country in standing in solidarity with the American Jewish community in condemning this fatal hate attack. The Oklahoma Muslim community offers condolences to the loved ones of those killed and injured,” said CAIR-OK Executive Director Adam Soltani. “In Oklahoma we have seen the impact of hate crimes on religious institutions, and realize the importance of coming together in times of tragedy and hardship.”

CAIR-OK offers its unconditional support to the Jewish community of Kansas City in this challenging time.
