During the summer of 2023, Ruslan Ahasan, Health Equity Coordinator, visited members of the Afghan community to conduct focus groups. During those visits, he learned that many Afghan neighbors faced challenges trying to schedule medical appointments to get the care they needed. In response, he followed up with 32 clients needing care and assisted in scheduling their appointments with physicians from ICNA Relief Shifa Clinic and Clara Community Health Center.
