(Oklahoma City, OK 12/1/14) – The Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OK), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the tragic murder of Oklahoma native, William Henderson, by what is being reported to be an ISIS allied terrorist group.

In a statement, CAIR-OK said:

“Just as we have denounced previous killings of innocent civilians by the ISIS terrorist groups, we condemn the tragic murder of William Henderson and once again disavow the anti-Islamic ideology that produces such inhumane actions. We also offer our sincere condolences to Mr. Henderson’s family and loved ones.”

Oklahoma’s Muslim community has been vocal in their repeated condemnation of extremist groups including ISIS. In September 2014, CAIR coordinated rallies to denounce ISIS and their extremist actions in both Tulsa and Oklahoma City areas.
