Cara Jane Evans is the director of the certified business incubator, AXIS FT, at Francis Tuttle Technology Center. She has a background in entrepreneurship, marketing, real estate, economic development, commercial construction, and angel investment. Her specialties are the business model canvas and practical implementation of state and federal resources. She can help with business planning, customer discovery, market analysis, competitive advantage, and operational strategies. Her role in CareerTech and leadership in the statewide entrepreneurial ecosystem can help you navigate all of the programs, assets, and agencies that might matter to an Oklahoma based venture or self-employed person in Oklahoma. Cara has a B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing; an MBA in Entrepreneurship; an Ed.S. in School Administration; and is currently working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership where her research focus is rural retention and workforce development. She lives in Stillwater, OK and offices from the Danforth campus of Francis Tuttle in Edmond, OK.

Jabee is an Oklahoma City-based community organizer, educator, entrepreneur, and artist who is dedicated to the well-being and liberation of Black people. One of six children, Jabee grew up in a single-parent family on the East side of Oklahoma City. Experiencing homelessness and the hardships of poverty as a child, Jabee turned to music to cope with difficult experiences, including the shooting death of his little brother, Junie. Music grew from an outlet of expression into a passion and then career for Jabee. In 2022 and 2023, Jabee and partners opened Eastside Pizza House and Scrambl’d, respectively. Both restaurants are located in the heart of OKC’s Black community, a food apartheid. The restaurants are Black-owned and staffed by people from the Black community. The restaurants also provide critical community gathering spaces, frequently hosting community conversations and celebrations

The Muslim Young Professionals Network (MYPN) is a program introduced by CAIR-OK to bring together Muslim, young professionals so they can work towards becoming more engaged in their community, empower them to be social justice advocates and religious liaisons of today and tomorrow.

This event is free and open to the public. Spots are limited and RSVP is required.
