Biography

Todd Thomsen embodies the spirit and strength of our great state. A native Oklahoman, he was raised in Sapulpa by his mother and his father, a 35-year veteran of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

After high school, Todd became a proud Sooner, playing football for four years and helping his team win the National Championships in 1985 under famed coach Barry Switzer. Thomsen graduated from OU with a degree in Management Information Systems and went to work for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where he would spend the next 30 years guiding teen athletes and coaches in Southeast Oklahoma to a deeper relationship with Christ.

A trusted leader in the community, Thomsen was first elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2006, where he would serve the citizens of District 25 for the next twelve years. During this time he was chosen for various leadership roles, including leadership on the Utilities Committee and membership on the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. His appreciation and understanding of the economic infrastructure and resources of our great state is the driving factor in his run for Corporation Commission.

Thomsen currently resides in Ada where loves to spend time with his family. His children, Menee, Aneli, Tovan, Tyde, and the late Tal, are a blessing and make every day exciting.
