Biography

A FIFTH GENERATION OKLAHOMAN
As a fifth generation Oklahoman Shane Jett has deep roots in Oklahoma. As the son of a mechanic, Shane grew up working in his father’s auto-repair shop in Tecumseh, where he learned the values of honesty, hard work, and integrity. No stranger to hard work, Shane worked three part-time jobs while attending Oklahoma Baptist University to obtain a degree in International Business. He is a retired Lieutenant in the US Navy and a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVE
Shane served six years in the Oklahoma House of Representatives becoming the first Republican to represent District 27. While in the Legislature, Shane focused on job growth across Oklahoma by working to ensure a robust economic environment for energy, agriculture, tourism and manufacturing industries, fighting for thriving businesses and stronger schools.

As a veteran he understands the many issues faced by military families and is a vocal advocate for our men and women in the military, and for the growing population of veterans across Oklahoma. Shane Jett is pro-life, pro-family, pro-veteran, pro-2nd Amendment and pro-business.

A BUSINESSMAN
As a businessman, Shane consults for businesses, Native American tribes, non-profits, universities and colleges on both international and domestic business challenges in marketing, management, recruiting, financing and project management.

He has certificates in leadership from Harvard University. Has completed Commercial Lending School at the Oklahoma Bankers Association and will graduate in June 2020 from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at The Wharton School of Business.

Currently, Shane is the CEO of a financial institution that makes commercial loans focusing on economic development and job creation in Oklahoma.

COMMUNITY LEADER
In 2016, President Donald Trump appointed Shane to the US Treasury CDFI Fund Community Development Advisory Board where he serves as Chairman. On multiple occasions, Shane has been invited by the Trump administration to share his expertise in Native American and military affairs. Most recently he participated in a conference for Contemporary Native American Military Veterans at the White House.

Shane serves on several boards and advisory committees including the Paul Dickenson College of Business, the Oklahoma Israel Exchange OKIE, and Dove Science Academy to name a few. He is a member of several chambers of commerce including McLoud, Seminole, Shawnee, Tecumseh and the State Chamber. He is also active in the InfraGard, a partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for critical infrastructure protection.

MILITARY SERVICE
In 2008, Shane was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy Reserve through the prestigious Direct Commission Officer program. Shane retired as a full Lieutenant in early 2020 and is proud of his work alongside the Nation’s finest men and women in uniform. The military training and briefings have provided him a great prospective and insight into situations around the world and its effect on homeland security.

A MAN OF FAITH
Shane has been involved in mission activities and has been a member of an international Bible distribution ministry since the age of 21. He has spoken in churches across central Oklahoma raising money to distribute Bibles across the country. Shane, Ana and their children attend Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee.

FAMILY MAN
While working in Brazil Shane met the love of his life, Ana, a Christ-centered Baptist girl that had her heart set on mission work in foreign countries. Ana worked as a public-school teacher in Brazil and worked with children with disabilities in the United States. They were married in 2001 and Ana became a naturalized US Citizen in 2007. They have three lovely daughters, Raquel, Esther, and Sarah.
