Rob Ford was born in Tulsa, OK. His father proudly served in the United States Navy giving Rob the opportunity to live on both coasts returning to Oklahoma in 1986. Both of his parents are native Oklahomans and their family roots run deep. Together with his wife Mirandy, they are raising five children in the Town of Mounds, which they consider a wonderful community where neighbors take care of each other. Rob has called Mounds home for almost twenty years and is passionate about breathing new life into the town. The family is currently renovating a historic hotel in hopes of it being used as a center for ministry one day. Rob has worked at the Tulsa Refinery for the past thirteen years and enjoys the benefits of Oklahoma’s strong oil and gas industry.
Rob has been actively involved in his community by serving as a Trustee and Treasurer for the Town Board. He and his family have been faithful members of First Baptist Church in Mounds since 2008 where they have participated in various ministry opportunities serving all age groups. Rob has also been able to volunteer on committees that support local events and businesses. The Republican Party has given Rob many opportunities to lead and network in various roles such as volunteering time, money and talents to campaign for candidates, work at events, and coordinate conventions. While serving as a committee member for the 1st Congressional District, he traveled to the 2016 Republican National Convention as an alternate delegate. With unanimous support Rob was elected Chairman for the Creek County Republican Party in 2019 and served well. On Good Friday, Rob filed his candidacy for Oklahoma State Senate District 12, in obedience to the Lord’s calling.
Ford stands for traditional family values as the cornerstone of our communities, freedoms of liberty without government interference, government transparency, fiscal responsibility at every level of spending and protecting our right to live out personal faith. Robert Ford sees himself as one of the people, not a politician and believes his values, experience and skill set make him the best choice to represent District 12 of the Oklahoma State Senate.
