Nick was born in Sayre, Oklahoma, but moved to Elk City shortly thereafter Elk City became a part of him. After graduating in 2002 from Elk City High School, he attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree of Architecture. He met my wife at OU and they were married shortly after graduation. They returned to Elk City to begin our lives, careers and start a family. His roots in Western Oklahoma run deep. He has family throughout the district and family ties in Hammon and Texola. His wife Kate is from Roger Mills County, Oklahoma where her family operates a cattle ranch. Nick currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Great Plains Analytical Services (GAS), where he has been for the past eight years. He also serves as the Mayor of Elk City and is a small business owner, HFJ Outdoors, a licensed FFL / SOT dealer. He went to work at GAS after his wife and him decided to move back to Elk City to be closer to family and raise our children in Western Oklahoma. In 2013, he joined Leadership Elk City Class, where he was introduced to local government and how it touches the lives of citizens on a daily basis. During this experience, Nick knew he was destined for a life in public service where he can help others enjoy a quality of life that they deserve.
