Biography

A proven advocate for Oklahoma students and teachers, Jennifer Esau has been an educator at Claremore Public Schools for more than 20 years. She is currently a special education teacher at Will Rogers Junior High, and was previously at Claremont Elementary, and Westside Elementary.

Jennifer serves on the board of directors for Oklahoma Education Association (OEA) representing Northeast Oklahoma. She is currently President of Claremore Classroom Teachers Association (CCTA) and has served in leadership roles with the organization for the past 10 years. In this role, Esau works to negotiate teacher contracts and advocate for public education.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Tulsa, a Master’s degree in Special Education from OSU-Tulsa, and is Nationally Board Certified. She was honored as the Claremont Elementary School Teacher of the Year in 2006 and 2014.

Jennifer is a fourth-generation Rogers County resident and a native of Claremore where she lives today. She is married to Andrew and has two daughters, Claire and Isabelle, both in college.
