Biography

This candidate did not have a Democratic opponent and will therefore be the Senator for this district without having to run in the general election.

Greg McCortney is a Republican who was elected as the senator for Oklahoma’s 13th district in 2016.

Greg is a product of small town Oklahoma. He grew up attending local public schools and was raised in a local church. Greg is a third generation small business owner/operator and is active in local government and civic organizations. Greg has been a City Council member since 2011, and was also Mayor for Ada in 2012 and 2013. Greg now owns McCortney Hospice and In Home Care in Ada, Norman and Ardmore.
