Biography

Local businessman, Gary Rhynes, “Rhino”, has announced his candidacy for State Representative, District 25, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. Mr. Rhynes said he has not seen the leadership in State Government, that he feels is necessary to lead Oklahoma, ahead into the 21st century. Under the leadership of Republican Governor Mary Fallin and Speaker Charles McCall, it appears the ship of state has lost its way. Republicans are seemingly out of sorts with Oklahomans in all quarters of the state. Gary also believes that Democrats are the party of descent, not he party of ideas or growth. As an Independent, a follower of the true spirit of Oklahoma, he believes he can stand up for Pontotoc County and Oklahoma values and over time be effective a leader in our State.
