Biography

Brad and his wife Lene were married in Copenhagen, Denmark in July 2006 and have four children together. They reside in midtown Tulsa and are longtime members of Woodland Acres Baptist Church. Brad believes in traditional family values, hard work, and giving back to your neighbors and community. At home, Brad enjoys working around the neighborhood, camping, sport-shooting, and spending time with his wife and children. Brad enlisted in the Marines in the fall of 2000. Private Banks was assigned to Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment as a rifleman and combat reconnaissance craft coxswain. He was deployed to the Western Pacific with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2002 and 2003. The Navy values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment remain paramount to him to this day. In 2003, Lance Corporal Banks was assigned to the Marine Security Guard Battalion in Quantico, VA.

After graduation from the MSG school, Banks was given a TS/SCI clearance and assigned to the Marine Security Guard Detachment in Lagos, Nigeria and later to the American Embassy in Copenhagen, Denmark. His time in diplomatic service also included providing site security for the President and Secretary of State during oversees state visits to Western Europe. In 2006, Sergeant Banks was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps after 5 years and 4 months of active-duty service. After earning his civil engineering degree from The University of Texas – San Antonio, Brad focused on using his education and experience in the field of infrastructure design and management. His work experience includes dam construction, excavation and shoring, bridge design, erosion repair, shoreline restoration, drainage improvement, and reinforced concrete design. An outdoorsman by nature, Brad is most at home in the field where he can use all his skills and experience to help improve life for others.

From 2013 to 2018, Brad served as the Manager of Operations for the City of Tulsa-Rogers County Port Authority. Working as the chief engineer for the Port, Brad’s duties included overseeing all of the physical operations, security, and capital projects for the 2,500-acre industrial park and river port including, roads, rail, docks, warehousing, and cranes. His experience working directly with manufacturers and shippers to ensure low-cost of movement and ease of business has provided him unique and valuable insight into the world of international logistics and commodity markets. Brad currently owns and operates two small-businesses in Tulsa. Eagle Eye Construction, Inc. specializes in concrete, drainage, grading, and fencing work and has served the greater Tulsa area since 2016. Brad also remains an active engineer working on retaining wall design, drainage improvement, erosion repair, and construction inspection through his Oklahoma licensed engineering firm, Bridgewater Engineering, Inc., est. 2018. Brad has been an active member of the Republican Party of Tulsa County and has served as a delegate for both the Tulsa County and Oklahoma State GOP Conventions. He and other GOP members from Pct. 83 hold regular meetings with guest speakers and attendees from across Tulsa. His top legislative priorities include maintaining an affordable cost of living, improving public education, supporting blue collar workers and preventing federal overreach.
