“The entire Muslim community of Oklahoma has felt the negative impact of the violent attacks on the people of Gaza,” said CAIR-OK Executive Director Adam Soltani. “A gathering like this is one of the many ways we can show our solidarity and support for the Palestinian people and hope that our lawmakers will hear our cries for a ceasefire and an end to the war.”

“Oklahomans Against Occupation is dedicated to seeing an end to violence and freedom for the Palestinian people,” said Tasneem Al-Michael, lead organizer for Oklahomans Against the Occupation. “We ask that those who join us this weekend support an open dialogue and come with the intention of peace. This is a moment for incredible moral courage, and we ask those who believe in the core values of humanity, decency, and beloved peace to stand with us on Saturday.”

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
