SUMMARY:7th Annual Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Applications are now open for CAIR-OK’s 2016 Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium! This year’s MYLS program will be hosted on the Oklahoma State University Stillwater campus from July 15-17\, 2016. \nThe Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium (MYLS) was created by CAIR-OK in the summer of 2009 as a way to train our Muslim youth to become the social and civil rights activists\, community leaders\, and religious liaisons of tomorrow. Over the last 7 years\, we have trained over 400 young Oklahomans through workshops\, round tables\, panels\, and activities. \nThe application deadline is June 8\, 2016. 40 individuals will be accepted into this years program. Participants will be chosen through a competitive application process aimed at selecting individuals who have a strong interest in community involvement\, overcoming Islamophobia\, social and civil rights activism\, and developing their identity as a young American Muslim.
