Zaina Elyassin is a senior at Mercy School and also enrolled at the Oklahoma City Community College. She is 17 years old and has the goal of becoming a dental hygienist. Zaina has always enjoyed volunteering for CAIR Oklahoma and is excited about interning with us in our Community Outreach Department. She hopes to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Biology before moving onto dental school to fulfill and achieve her dream job. In addition for volunteering for CAIR Oklahoma, Zaina has also volunteered for other non-profit organizations such as Surraya Anne Foundation and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. She played an integral part in organizing a poetry night as a part of Surraya Anne’s youth program. Zaina aspires to be a leader in the Muslim community and hopes to inspire her fellow peers into being the same.
