I am Waqas Ali, JD candidate at OU College of Law in 2022. I did my undergraduate with majors in engineering from NED University in Pakistan, and MS in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University. After my Masters, I had worked five years, first as a Reservoir Engineer, and later as a Team leader in two exploration and production companies in Pakistan.
I am interested to practice law in areas of civil rights, corporate law, and white-collar crime. This summer I would be working as a summer intern with CAIR Oklahoma, and I am very excited to work closely with the CAIR’s civil rights director Ms. Veronica Laizure.
CAIR Oklahoma is pleased to announce the second year of the Omar Al-Farooq Legal Fellowship program, which brings top students and graduates from law schools across the state to work at the Civil Rights Department for a summer term.
