Penelope Hughes is currently a student at Oklahoma City University. She is majoring in Chemistry and is pursing a minor in International Relations and French. Penelope’s involvement on campus includes: the Student Government Association where she currently serves as the Secretary of Public Relations and also Greek Life, where she serves as the Junior Panhellenic Delegate for her chapter. Along with this, Penelope also serves on the executive committee for a few biological organizations on campus. She is excited to intern at CAIR-OK as a summer policy and advocacy intern, and says “It is very exciting to be apart of something that strives for the equality and diversity for individuals in the state of Oklahoma. Becoming an intern here will allow for another perspective I have not yet seen, and also allow me to learn from the others around me!” Her future plans include going to law school while also obtaining her masters in either global health or public policy.
