Iqbal Hussain is a qualified medical professional with a passion for improving healthcare and education in underserved communities. He earned his MBBS degree and went on to become a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (FCPII-one of the highest degree of the country in this discipline) as well as passing the USMLE Step1 and Step 2CK exams.
Dr. Iqbal has extensive experience working in the field healthcare in rural areas of Pakistan and made significant contributions to improving healthcare access and education in these areas as he believes that education is the major social vaccine against all issues.
Based on his community engagement experience he has been selected as a Young Influential Leadership Fellow for community engagement exchange program among 142 leaders across the globe sponsored by U.S Department of state. As part of this program, he will be completing a 3-month practicum with CAIR Oklahoma chapter.
During his time with CAIR, Dr. Iqbal will focus on addressing health disparities and educational challenges faced by minorities, prisoners, and refugees. His expertise in healthcare and education, combined with his dedication to community engagement, will make him an ideal candidate for this prestigious fellowship and will integrate this experience into his profession that will help to prioritize his critical concerns of dealing with Sustainable Development Goals.
