Biography

As a husband and homeschooling dad, a pastor and liberty activist, Richie has always been a passionate, principled defender of life. He believes every individual regardless of personal beliefs, stage of human development, gender, skin tone or sexual orientation has God-given dignity and human rights that are inherent and must be respected by those we elect to political or judicial office, from City Council Members to U.S. Representatives.
Richie (or Richard) is a resident of Afton, Oklahoma on beautiful Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees, was born in Tulsa in 1981 and lived in Grove for 25 years. His wife, Kathy, is a travel nurse (R.N.) and serves wherever the need is greatest in the country. For the last two years she served a contract on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. Richie and Kathy have two sons, Elisha (8 yrs.) and Isaiah (6 yrs. old).
Education & Work
Richie graduated from Grove Public Schools in May of 2000 (K-12). He received his Associates from NEO A&M in Miami and his Bachelors in Business Administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville. He is currently a student of Global Grace University for a Masters in Biblical Counseling.

Richie launched GrandLakeLife Church in 2015, which was originally founded as a brick and mortar organization in partnership with LifeChurch of Oklahoma City. Richie is a self-described street pastor, the kind of servant many people call, especially in Delaware and Ottawa Counties, to hold their hand in the hospital, give them shelter in a hotel room if they are homeless, give a ride home to after their 3-week meth binge, or to counsel in times of mental and emotional challenges. Richie is inclusive and he is a giver who truly defends life.

He has also spent much of his career in retail, both as a former RadioShack manager and a Customer Service Agent for the Bass Pro Shops Headquarters in Springfield, MO.
Richie’s Political History
Richie ran for Congress in OK-2 in 2018 as the Libertarian candidate and received an historic 1.9% of the vote in a four-way race, which included the Republican incumbent. With your help we can not only break this record, we can WIN the seat! This will be a big fight, but together we can succeed for the sake of our kids and our freedoms.
Richie is a member of the Libertarian Party and a lifetime member of the Libertarian Party of Oklahoma. You are invited to join us! Libertarians are not actually on the political right or left. We are guided by the non-aggression principle:
“I hereby certify that I oppose the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals.”
This means Richie will fight in Congress to protect you from aggression, foreign or domestic. He will defend your life, your rights, and your property. He will not support an agenda that undermines your consent. He will always put people before politics and individual liberty before government interventionism. He believes that voluntaryism runs deep in the blood of every Oklahoman. Our neighbors can be trusted more than the bureaucrats in Washington D.C. or even Oklahoma City.
Richie opposes socialism in all forms and believes that free markets, not corporatism or oligarchy, are the best way to facilitate the happiness and prosperity of every American.
Read Richie’s 10-point plan and if you see common ground in any area please consider voting for a man of integrity and courage to fight the D.C. establishment and defend you, not government!
