Angela Strohm

Biography

My name is Angela Strohm and I am married to Chuck Strohm, a Professional Engineer. We have been married for 20 years and am a mom to four amazing children. Our oldest daughter is a Neurologist practicing in Columbus Ohio and our second is a Psychiatrist who lives in Salt Lake City with her husband. Our son attends Victory Bible College and plans to go into ministry upon graduation in May. Our youngest daughter loves building things, crafts, robotics and is a freshman at Victory Christian School. We are members of Victory Christian Church and own a small engineering and manufacturing business.

I have been a licensed teacher for over 25 years and have taught in both public and private schools. I have also had the opportunity to work in both Texas and Oklahoma schools and have had children attend both public and private schools here in Oklahoma. These experiences have given me a diverse perspective on public education that I believe make me uniquely qualified to serve in the Oklahoma Legislature as we continue to address issues related to educating our children.

As we look around, I believe that our state and nation are facing an identity crisis… are we going to support the values and beliefs that have made this nation great, or are we going to continue down the dark road of moral relativism. Many in our nation hold to a man-made value system where truth is based on feelings and situations. This is dangerous because truth must be based on a moral constant.

I believe that the foundation of Biblical Truth that this nation was founded upon, beginning with the Mayflower Compact in 1620, was taught and maintained in our public-school systems for over 300 years and has resulted in the greatest peace and prosperity of any nation in the world. It has also led to an unprecedented level of freedom for people of all religions, cultures, and faiths. In order to maintain the freedoms we have come to enjoy, we need to realign with Biblical Truth once again.
