“Ramadan is not only a month in which we abstain from food, drink, and other sensual desires,” said Adam Soltani, Executive Director CAIR Oklahoma, “it is also a month in which the teachings of our faith encourages us to do our part to help those in need.”

CAIR Oklahoma will continue to facilitate service opportunities as a part of the Oklahoma Muslims Care campaign and will be holding a school supply drive for Moore tornado victims in August, and hosting a volunteer day with Habitat for Humanity in September.

The month of Ramadan will come to an end with the “Eid ul-Fitr” celebration that will take place on August 8, 2013.

CAIR Oklahoma is a chapter of America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
